Every spring I'm reminded how beautiful DC is. Thousands of people from around the world come to see our cherry blossoms! Here are some pics I took last year, aren't they beautiful?
Cherry blossoms are all over DC, but the national mall has the most of them and this is where to see them at their most magnificent. The trees were a gift from the city of Tokyo to the people of Washington, DC in 1912. The initial gift was 3,000 trees!!!! Thats a lot of wood!
